About Banyan:

Banyan Software is the best permanent home for software businesses that serve specialized industries, their employees, and their customers. We are on a mission to acquire, build, and grow great companies worldwide, helping them modernize through shared AI expertise and operational discipline. The Banyan Software Foundation, endowed with $100 million in Banyan stock, leverages technology to build a greener and more equitable world.

Banyan is Great Place to Work Certified, a five-time Inc. 5000 honoree, and a top 10 company on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Atlanta, Banyan operates more than 100 portfolio companies across North America, the UK, EU, and APAC.

About Classter:

Classter is an end-to-end, modular Student Information System (SIS) for education. It gives institutions a single system of record in place of multiple legacy tools, covering admissions, academics, the full student lifecycle, LMS, CRM, communication, billing and payments, with mobile apps on top. We serve private institutions, from K-12 and academies to higher education, across more than 40 countries.

Our strongest base is in Greece and Cyprus and across Europe, with a growing footprint in North America and beyond. Classter is part of Banyan Software, a permanent-capital holder of vertical software businesses. Banyan backs its companies for the long term, with no exit clock and no pressure to optimize for a sale.

The Role:

Classter has a strong, feature-rich product and a solid engineering organization. The next phase is scale. It starts with a clear product vision and an ambitious roadmap, delivered through an AI-centric approach, a solid architecture, and a proactive motion that leverages Classter's proven, unique expertise. To match that ambition, we are creating a new seat.

As CPTO you own Product and Engineering together. It is product-led, the center of gravity is product, and it is a real technology leadership seat, not a product role with engineering bolted on. You report directly to the CEO, work alongside your peers the COO and the head of Sales, and lead experienced Product and Engineering teams already in place.

What you will own

•Product vision, roadmap and prioritization, end to end. This is the core of the role, and more so as AI reshapes the product.

•Product direction and priority arbitration across the company, done in the open with the CEO and the leadership team.

•The engineering organization: its structure, delivery, quality and growth. You lead it through its team leads and own its direction and standards.

•Alignment of Product with go-to-market, the ideal customer profile and Sales, so the company builds with intent and stops shipping ad hoc.

•Technical strategy and architecture, keeping the platform coherent, scalable and secure, and able to support the roadmap.

•Predictable delivery, turning the roadmap into shipped software at a reliable pace.

•A deliberate approach to AI, in the product and in how the team builds, with a clear business model behind it.

Your first twelve months

•A product vision and roadmap the whole company understands and can execute against.

•A shift from a reactive, request-driven motion to a proactive, roadmap-driven one.

•Product, ICP and go-to-market visibly aligned (in collaboration with the other C's), with ad hoc development materially reduced.

•A credible plan to scale the product architecture, sequenced and underway.

•Engineering delivering to the roadmap at a predictable pace, with clear standards in place.

•At least one meaningful AI move, in the product or in how the team builds, with a business model attached.

The team you will lead

You report to the CEO and sit on the leadership team. You lead six teams, each with an existing lead: Product Design & Analysis, Main Product Development, Mobile App and AI Features Development, Architecture and Integrations, Quality Assurance, and Technical Operations. You inherit a capable engineering organization with established leads, and strong product domain expertise. Your focus is direction and leadership.

What we are looking for

Essential

•A senior leader who has owned both Product and Engineering, or a product leader who has genuinely run engineering. Strong track record in B2B SaaS, ideally vertical software.

•You have owned product vision, roadmap and prioritization at scale. You decide, you do not only facilitate.

•You have led engineering organizations: architecture and technical strategy, delivery and quality, structuring and growing a team. Credible with engineers, not a manager who delegates the technology.

•Experience taking a complex, feature-rich product and making its architecture coherent and scalable.

•A clear point of view on AI, in the product and in engineering, with a business model behind it.

•You align product tightly with go-to-market and the ideal customer profile.

•You bring direction to a founder-led company and an established team without steamrolling them.

Nice to have

•Education, EdTech, or another regulated, workflow-heavy vertical.

•International, multi-market SaaS.

•Experience in a founder-led company moving from craft to scale.

•Exposure to M&A and product integration.

Why this role

•A real ownership seat across product and engineering, with the mandate to shape where Classter goes.

•A strong product and team to build on, not a turnaround from zero.

•A permanent-capital owner behind you, with a long-term horizon.
